The floating tile
The Hexa-Cover® floating tiles ensure:- Up to 95% reduction of evaporation from water surface - Up to 95% stable and constant reduction of emission of such things as ammonia - Up to 90% stable and constant reduction of odours - Noticeable reduction in organic growth such as algae - Storm resistance, withstands wind velocities up to 32 m/s - Ease of installation - Automatic distribution of floating tiles on liquid surface - Free access to liquid for e.g. measuring, emptying or stirring - Life expectancy of 25 years - Favourable price - Manufactured of recycled plastic, without use of Freon or other harmful materials In addition, there are a number of clear benefits, such as:- No running costs - Low total costs (reduced consumption of water, energy, chemicals, additives as well as time savings - No repairs to e.g. roofing, tenting or other coverings - No supervision - Positive environmental effects (lower CO2 emission and use of scarce resources) DesignThe fundamental idea behind the floating tile is that it is constructed as a six-sided plate with symmetrical ribs on each side. The floating tile is made of plastic with a relative density of 0.5 kg/l. This ensures that one half of the tile will float above the surface of the liquid so that that the elements will lie flat on the surface. Ribbing ensures that the floating tiles distribute themselves naturally and evenly over the surface of the liquid, without overlapping. The tiles have specially designed edges that grip into each other. The design means that the tiles lock into each other by the action of the wind to automatically form a continuous covering. The surface will resist any naturally occurring effects of the weather. |
The Hexa-Cover® floating tile has been developed with a view to satisfying all requirements as to a floating covering for liquid containers.
